Speech Therapists play a vital role in the intervention process when it comes to reading and spelling skills. Language and auditory processing skills are two important components of acquiring good reading and spelling skills. As speech and language therapists, we assess reading and spelling skills holistically to determine where every child needs specific intervention using standardized reading and spelling tests. We focus on the building blocks and foundation skills that are necessary for reading and spelling to achieve academic and scholastic success. Reading and spelling should be exciting for every child.
